UGLY PRETTY BOY
"Ugly Pretty Boi" (2018) is a conversational photography series that depicts a personal frustration and journey of self-hate, self-love, and activates a dialogue that pertains to the value of oneself and how over time i’ve personnaly inherited a habit of depreciating my value, and questioning my existence.
"Why is the idea of loving my authentic self so obscure?" This series explores anguish of not loving who I am and not being able to acknowledge my own beauty. In Ugly Pretty Boi I display my journey in search for the allure, magnificence, and excellence in my skin, and in my heritage, culture, and community.
